Reviewed April 2022I like the currant-bush and light herbal aromas with hints of earth. Medium-bodied with fine tannins. Brightness and freshness to this. Vivid and delicious and will age nicely.

Ripe and sleek in feel, with açaí and blackberry pâte de fruit notes rippling along nicely, flecked with violet, sweet bay leaf and savory hints and supported by a cast iron note on the finish. Packs a nice sanguine echo at the very end. (JM)

From the heart of the Coombsville AVA. Fragrant and bright red fruit tinged with cinnamon and currants with crushed wild sage. Bold, ripe and flavoursome with overripe strawberry and cherry notes atop feathery tannins. Finishes with a herbaceous kick and dusty minerals. (JC)

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is a fine example of this Coombsville site. Pliant and deep, yet medium in body the 2019 offers up a compelling mélange of inky dark fruit, spice, menthol, mocha, dried herbs and licorice. I would give it a few years in bottle to see if the fruit emerges more fully. These wines have often aged quite well. (AG)
