It's back again! One of our best selling Cabernets from last year, and another sharp price! To recap - Vinoce's wines are crafted by cult winemaker Keith Emerson. Keith is probably best known as the longtime Director of Winemaking at Vineyard 29, but he has also made wine for the likes of Robert Craig and Cakebread. With 100-point scores to his name, Keith really knows how to coax the best out of Napa Valley Cabernet, capturing all the power and richness it has to offer, but also focusing on refinement and structure. The Vinoce bottling comes right from the heart of St. Helena (funnily enough where Vineyard 29's vineyards are) and is chock-a-block full of deep dark fruit, ripe plum, blackcurrant, marionberry, graphite, smoldering embers, dark chocolate, oak spice. Full-bodied, but not sweet, structured but polished and approachable. Seriously good bottle of modern Napa Cab clearly made by someone at the top of their game. Even at its regular $60 retail price this wine over-delivers in a big way. At our deeply discounted Insider's Advantage deal it's one of the best values you'll find in Napa today.

Epic! Epic! Epic! That's the consensus about California's 2019 vintage with Napa Valley Cabernets ranking right at the top. The 2019 Vinoce Cabernet, from beautiful and scenic St. Helena, is a classic full-bodied jammy Cabernet loaded with layers of ripe dark fruit and notes of espresso, dark chocolate, caramel (yes, I get caramel and I dare anyone to prove me wrong), and herbs. This is one of those wines that continues to evolve and open up as you're drinking it so I'm just scratching the surface. If big bold, but balanced, California Cab is your jam (pun intended) then look no further. Sub $40 Napa Valley Cabernet is a rarity at this quality level!

I've been a big fan of Vinoce since last year, ever since I first tasted the 2019 vintage. I'm so glad we brought in more, so I decided to retaste a bottle today to "check" how it's doing. It's gotten even better. Aromas of ripe dark berries, plump black plums, charcoal, dark coffee beans, dried thyme, and a touch of earth. On the palate, juicy, well balanced, never cloying, with a delicious, dark chocolate note on the finish. A phenomenal value from St. Helena!
Notes
Boutique winery Vinoce continues to impress. Little surprise when you consider their wines are made by much-heralded winemaker Keith Emerson of Vineyard 29! Emerson crafts some of the most highly sought-after cult Cabs in the valley from St. Helena fruit at Vineyard 29, including wines rated at 100-points by Robert Parker himself. Considering that pedigree, Vinoce's St. Helena Cab is very well priced at the regular $60 SRP, but at our Insider's Advantage price of over 50% off, it's just plain ridiculous.
