Wine Advocate
The ripe apple and acacia blossom-scented 2000 Puligny-Montrachet Clavoillon is medium-bodied and softly textured. It delights the palate with a panoply of sweet white fruits, toast, and underlying minerals. This satiny wine has outstanding concentration and a highly delineated, precise character.

A combination of youth and maturity. Just showing the character of the site through its mineral and structural elements, yet some apple and spice notes remain from its primary stage. Fine harmony and length. Drink now through 2012. (2006)

Burghound
Age has transformed this into a lovely if not spectacular wine with an expressive nose of white flower and fruit aromas that are just now beginning their initial transition from being completely primary to having hints of secondary development. There is good richness and mid-palate fat that buffers the moderately firm acidity that is more than sufficient at present to maintain a solid sense of focus and balance.

Reticent, steely, high-pitched nose dominated by peach. Bright and steely in the mouth, with intense but discreet flavors and excellent spine. Showing lovely fruit today; in fact, more expressive in the mouth than on the nose. Finishes quite long, with a faint edge of acidity.
