Smooth and supple, with a rich, smoky accent to the ripe currant and plum flavors. Could stand to shed more tannin. *Top 100 Wines of 1991, Highly Recommended* (JL) (12/1997)
Kenwood's Jack London Cabernet Sauvignon is exclusively sourced from vineyards that were part of the famed author's Beauty Ranch. While the entrepreneurial author thought that the future was in growing eucalyptus trees, the vineyard was replanted with grapes in the 1960s by his stepsister's grandson. A collectible vintage for London fans and followers of Kenwood Vineyards alike, the bottle is printed with London's own bookplate image of a wolf.
