Espolón Tequila is finally back in the U.S. with a fantastic new package and a new unbelievable price. The label is an ultra-cool "Dia de los Muertos" style mural, which immediately catches the eye. The price tag is more than reasonable, so that's two for two. If you actually get around to tasting it, then you're going to experience the ultimate trifecta in the spirits world: package, price, quality. The reposado has a softer mouthfeel and showcases the barrel aging beautifully, without taking away from the tanginess of the spirit. The peppery agave is the focus here with the wood only working to highlight the innate flavor. This is going to give every other Tequila a serious run for the money. Any Tequila fan should try this at least once. From the Beverage Testing Institute: "Pale straw color. Aromas of juicy pear, desert stones, agave field, and nut oil with a supple, bright, dryish light body and a tingling, momentary waxed apple, liquado de avena, and coconut candy finish.
