Roederer Estate Anderson Valley Brut Sparkling Wine

SKU #480028 93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

Outer quote mark The current release of the NV Estate Brut is made up mainly of fruit from the 2015 vintage. It is a blend of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir and was made with about ten grams per liter dosage. Disgorged in October of 2018, it has a fresh, open nose with pure fruit expression: crushed apples, pears and lemon peel mingle with touches of stone, flowers and toast. The medium-bodied palate offers a lovely dichotomy of toasty fruits with uplifted citrusy, minerally accents with a finely beaded mousse, and it finishes long and ultra fresh. 93 points Wine Enthusiast

Outer quote mark An enticing, toasty, nutty aroma leads to crisp and complex flavors in this medium-bodied wine that is braced by good acidity and a fine bead of bubbles. Subtle, mature notes complement the elegant texture. (JG) Inner quote mark (10/2020)

90 points Wine Spectator

Outer quote mark Delicate and svelte, with apple puff pastry and floral citrus flavors accented by snappy mineral and fresh ginger notes. (TF) Inner quote mark (10/2020)

Connoisseurs Guide

Outer quote mark More than a bit reminiscent of a bright and lively Blanc de Blancs, this fresh-as-can be Brut very much inflects to its majority percentage of Chardonnay and is long on insistent, always complementary yeast with an especially fine, equally insistent stream of tiny bubbles. From its fruit and its autolysis to its dosage and cleansing acidity, it is a wine that shows excellent integration and balance, and, if neither as layered nor as complex as its cousins made with extended tirage time, it is a buoyant, exceptionally well-crafted sparkler that capably delivers the goods at a noteworthy price. *Good Value* Inner quote mark (12/2020)

K&L Notes

Founded in 1982 as the California outpost of Champagne Louis Roederer, Roederer Estate builds upon a centuries-old tradition of fine winemaking. Roederer Estate's sparkling wines are produced using only grapes from the winery's own vineyards. Carrying on the tradition of Champagne Louis Roederer in France, special oak-aged reserve wines are added to each blend.

After tasting the Roeder Estate Anderson Valley Brut Sparkling Wine, it’s hard to believe that it is a domestic sparkling and that it only costs $21.99! What sets this domestic sparkling apart from the rest is how dry it tastes. I always have a problem with how high the dosage levels are in domestic sparkling wines but not with the Roederer Estate Brut. The nose is bright and lively with fresh pear, tangerine and clean bread yeast notes. And while the palate is friendly and accessible with riper pome fruit and clean melon flavors, this domestic brut finishes precise and focused.

One of the finest sparkling wines in the world. Made with great care and precision by winemaker/General Manager Arnaud Weyrich. A leaner style of sparkling wine with a minerality and depth punctuated by a lush mid palate. Approximately 60% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir. Aged a minimum of two years on the yeast. A tasty sparkling for any occasion.

This has a vibrant spiced pear and melon character. It sees little to no malolactic fermentation, giving it a racing stripe of acidity that keeps the wine focused. We also have this beauty, which was awarded 90 points by Wine & Spirits Magazine, in magnum .
