Wine Spectator
A rich, potent yet elegant, understated style, with ripe, polished currant, blackberry, cherry and spice. Finishes with firm tannins.

Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar
Very good ruby-red. Bright, pure aromas of cassis, shoe polish and minerals. Juicy, vibrant dark berry flavor in the mouth. Has strong material for the vintage. Finishes firm and fresh, with tannins in harmony with the wine fruit. Should show more nuance with a couple years of bottle aging.
