Gloria S is made with an old Spanish clone from Barrancas and is one of the most exciting
New World expressions of Garnacha. Elegant and refined, it’s the kind of thing that wouldn’t
look out of place in Gredos in Spain. Thyme and rosemary aromas segue into a layered,
focused, refreshing palate of bramble, raspberry and redcurrant and spicy, herbal tannins.

Descorchados
For this Gloria S., Ver Sacrum uses a vineyard planted in 2012 in Los Chacayes. It's a massal selection from the first vineyard that the winery used for its garnachas, a vineyard that no longer exists and was planted in ravines in 1947. After a semi-carbonic maceration (50% whole clusters), the wine was aged with half in amphorae and the other half in barrels for two years. The wine has a delicious juiciness, with lots of fresh and vibrant red fruits that blend into a light body, but with very energetic tannins as well. The character is rather fibrous, with red fruit all around.

K&L Notes
Eduardo Soler and two friends started Ver Sacrum in 2012 with the concept of growing and vinifying Rhône Varietals. Their winemaking ethos focuses on fresh, low alcohol, lighter skin contact, native yeast, honest, and easy drinking wines. All grapes are hand harvested and most are foot crushed as they believe in minimum intervention in the vineyards and winery with no corrections, filtration, or pump overs.
