This great bargain is probably our most affordable Chablis at the moment. Don't let the "Petit" designation fool you. Many Petit Chablis can often outperform Chablis, quality wise. even more of a reason not to overlook this one. Like Chablis, there is a clean nose of lemon zest, sea salt and just a tiny bit lemon meringue. On the palate, also clean but, a richness then appears on the palate with a very light sea salt component. Though citrus fruit dominant, lemons, pink grapefruit, the additional mid-palate softness keeps this wine from being overbearing. So affordable that you can have it every day!

Great value Petit Chablis - crunchy, zesty, vibrant and mineral. It's full of citrus fruit and sea shell notes, its acidity is bright but not austere. Terrific wine to pair with sea scallops and other seafood.

When you're ready for the leanest, brightest, most seashelly expression of Chardonnay you can get for under $20, this is it. Fruit is minimal, though green apple and citrus are present. The acid is intense but welcome, and will be great with food. Domaine Gerard Tremblay's Petit Chablis will benefit from more time, but this salty 2022 release can certainly be enjoyed now. Try it with a summer sunset.

Gerard Tremblay is 5th generation winemaker on a 34-hectare estate located in Chablis. Most of his wines are sold locally, only a limited amount make it to our shores. This is a mineral bomb, packed with seashells and salinity for days. The fruit is mellow and dominated by citrus and salt, but not in a bad way. This is ideal for hot days and succulent oysters.

I was excited to taste this wine while I was in Chablis in early May and it did not disappoint. A great preview of the upcoming 2022 Chablis vintage this tasty Petit Chablis really showcases what has made Chablis such a popular wine. Pristine notes of wet stone, seashells and citrus zest lead into an energetic palate of salty sea spray, zesty citrus notes and crisp tannins and a racy, complex finish. This is a flat-out delicious Petit Chablis that is a killer value at less than $20. Be sure to snatch up some bottles before they inevitably sell out.
