Another insane example of the oldest rarest style of Guyana rum available on the market today. Much lighter in color than the '89 which is full of dark sappy intensity. Let's taste it! Wowowow this is very different from the other Uitvlugt/Port Mourant. Tense mineral character with rich funky waxy fruit, earthy herbal and wild citrus. On the palate vibrant and smoky citrus, tart and savory. Extremely chiseled and pungent with a long salty finish. This stuff is absolutely next level. One of the best old Guyana I've had and while it doesn't have the dark rummy character of the 89, this will appeal to lovers of old scotch in a way that few others do. You can't get 70s Clynelish for $400, but this is just as good and going to go down as an absolute legend in the annals of high quality spirits.
