2017 Brkic "Plava Greda" Blatina Mostar Bosnia-Herzegovina

100% Blatina from Southern Herzegovina, an appellation rich with a long growing history, a temperate climate, and Karst limestone soils. Josep Brkic took over this estate after his father's death to focus on native Žilavka and Blatina varietals. He converted the vineyards to biodynamic farming and uses gentle methods and natural yeasts in the cellar. Wines are aged in local Bosnian oak on their lees, with no filtration. With dedication and respect, he captures a true sense of this ancient growing region in each bottle.
