Ardbeg 19 Year Old "Traigh Bhan - 2021 Release" Batch #3 Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky (750ml)

The early nose offers hand-rolled tobacco, ginger, black pepper, and fragrant woodsmoke. Medicinal notes, brine, and lemon develop in time. Sweet peat smoke, tropical fruits, toffee, and aniseed on the palate, with smoked haddock and a suggestion of tar. Iodine, black pepper, and sea salt in the lengthy finish. (GS) (2/2020)

Named for Islay's Traigh Bhan beach, where the 'Singing Sands' hide jagged rocks beneath, this single malt is by turns velvety and rugged. Each sip opens with soft smoke and mellow orchard fruit, but finishes drying and intensely peated, with a flicker of cayenne heat. Introduced in September 2019, this is the first permanent aged whiskey expression added to the Ardbeg portfolio in 20 years and will be available annually in small batches. (KN) (12/2019)
