Coming from older vines, the 2015 Gelida Brut Gran Reserva is a blend of 35% Xarel·lo, 25% Macabeo, 20% Parellada, and 20%Chardonnay that spent 40 months on lees before bottling. Its more golden color is followed by a beautiful notes of golden apples, orange blossom, brioche, and honeysuckle. It's rich, has beautiful depth of fruit, good purity, and a clean finish. It's another terrific, richer example of Cava to drink over the coming 4-6 years.

Vins El Cep is a grower producer. Every grape of Xarel·Lo, Macabeu, Chardonnay, and Parellada that goes into this wine comes from their own organically farmed vineyards. The soils here are calcareous and sandy, give the wine it delicate underlying minerality. Each vineyard lot is fermented seperately, then blended and ages for a minimum of 40 months.
