Bright, with caramelized peach, green tea, green plum and salted caramel notes woven together nicely. Date and ginger peel notes dapple the finish. Very stylish. (JM)

Here there’s more of a return to the dried grasses of the oldest of these wines, less immediate sweetness to the aroma compared with the Krohn 1999. A dusty scent like motes in the sun, opening up to a deeper richness of fruit, dried apricots, plus caramelised nuts. Intense and mouth-filling with a gorgeous contrast between the sweetness and the freshness. Vibrant, bitter-sweet, long. A tiny hint of something medicinal right at the very end. 17.5/20 points (JH)
