Decanter
A lucid, well honed and delicate example with notes of lemon, clementine, cantaloupe melon and hints of smoky notes and toasty nuances. Richly defined fruit with a lovely minerality and tension. *Decanter World Wine Awards 2021 Platinum Award!*

An overtly phenolic nose is complemented by exotic yellow fruit and acacia blossom nuances. The sleek, well detailed and energetic flavors possess an admirably sleek texture along with plenty of minerality that also suffuses the clean, dry and lingering finale. The nose isn't particularly elegant and doesn't offer especially pronounced Chablis character, but the palate impression is lovely. *Outstanding*

Vinous
The 2019 Chablis Montée de Tonnerre 1er Cru has a fresh, vibrant bouquet that shows more mineralité than the Mont de Milieu. The palate is taut and focused, offering gooseberry and Granny Smith apples, and quite spicy toward the finish, with pear and a touch of peach lingering on the aftertaste. This is a finely crafted Montée de Tonnerre. (NM)

K&L Notes
93 points Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy: "Hand-picked from several plots. Lovely clear primrose, this is very stylish on the nose, it has the muscle of Montée de Tonnerre, but seems to have been picked at just the right time. Sunny yellow fruit, crystalline nervous tension behind, and very persistent. Tasted: September 2020."
