Akabu Shuzo Junmai Ginjo Iwate Sake (720ml)

Akabu Shuzo is led by the young and talented Master Brewer Ryunosuke Furudate. This 6th generation brewer is driven by passion and pours his heart and soul into every batch. Founded in 1896, the brewery is firmly rooted in tradition but committed to evolving brewing techinque and striving for the highest possible quality. The original brewery was devasted by the 2011 Tohoku and suffered complete destruction. A new distillery was built in 2013 Morioka City and in 2014 the new era of Akabu was born, quickly winning gold at the Annual Japanese Sake competition and ranking #1 brewery in Iwate. The Junmai Ginjo uses Gin ginja polised to 50% with the local Iwate yeast. Pasteurized just once, the freshness and lifted acidity is unmistakable. Soft aromas of apple, vanilla and fresh almonds abound. The slightly sweet entry is balanced perfectly by zesty acidity.
