90 points Chris Kissack for Winedoctor.com: "This is a négoce wine; sourced from a handful of local domaines, mostly from vineyards currently in conversion to organics. It serves as entry-level here. The nose has a typical Vouvray fruit profile, fresh and leafy apple aromas, with a little twist of lime. It feels nicely concentrated on the palate, this being another generous vintage, shifting to a style which is rather more plump and polished in the middle. Here it seems very easy going, with gentle acids, reinforcing the round and soft feel. Overall, charming, fresh and approachable." (10/2020)

The name may say “Spring” but this 100% dry Chenin Blanc has a thread of flavors that well serve late summer and well into fall cuisine. Careme is one of the rising stars of Vouvray, and his all organic practices produce some of the best wines in the region. Beautiful apple, pear, lemon verbena, allspice and quince make for a delightfully refreshing and versatile white guaranteed to perform at any barbecue, garden party or holiday meal setting. This white would be great replacement therapy for fans looking to step outside their normal Chradonnay routine and with its adaptability, should match up perfectly with any herb-roasted bird (I'm looking at you turkey)!

The fruit profile of peach, quince, and tangerine is usually evocative of a wine that's soft and plush, but a pronounced line of citric acidity here is actually quite racy. Hints of verbena and terroir-driven mineral tones power a sneaky long finish. This wine is generous in its bright intensity.

Chenin Blanc

- Also called Pineau de la Loire and Pineau d'Anjou. Chenin Blanc is an expressive white French varietal that makes beautiful dry, sweet and sparkling wines. Traditionally grown in the Loire Valley, the wines made from this varietal are typically labeled geographically. Vouvray Chenins are traditionally medium-sweet; Savennières Chenins are typically bright and crisp; Coteaux du Layon Chenins like Bonezeaux and Quarts de Chaume are among the world's most sought-after sweet wines, and the sparkling Chenins of Saumur are perfumed and delicious. What all of these iterations of the grape have in common is their ability to age, a gift bestowed upon them because of the grape's naturally high-acidity.
