It's hard not to be a fan of David Lebovitz if you're familiar with his work. It's super fun and engaging to read, and the recipes are always wonderful. "Drinking French" is an exceptional cocktail book, in part because it's not your typical cocktail book. Sure, there are plenty of recipes to try (not all booze related, by the way), but there is so much fun French culture and history in the book as well. It's part travelogue, cocktail book, cookbook, history textbook, and photo gallery. This gift pack includes four stone cold classics in French spirits that are also a little more interesting than just grabbing a bottle of VS Cognac or Ricard. If you like a good read, a good drink, and a good collection of spirits, this is the ticket to France you've been waiting for. It might just inspire you to book your next trip.
