One of the biggest deals under our house label, Kalinda for quite sometime! Yes we often have juice from top wineries and are sworn to secrecy about the origin of the wine...but this bottling is the EXACT same finished wine that was scored 95 points by Robert Parker's Wine Advocate! Several other top critics also rated it between 92-94 points...but if we list all those we might give the game away! This parcel was initially headed to an overseas market before 2020 happened...and now we're simply the lucky benefactors thanks to our long relationship with the winery. The wine is absolutely classic Russian River Valley Chard; it opens with beautiful, opulent, golden orchard fruits, Crème Brûlée, almond paste and baked bread. Whilst the front palate is quite rich and generous, there is plenty of acidity here too, and a nice little flinty mineral note in the finish underscoring everything. Drinking beautifully, I think it's really hitting its stride and will drink well for another 5 or so years, maybe more.
