K&L Notes

A great bottle of Oregon Pinot Noir that massively over delivers in every way. One of my new favorite values for everyday drinking. (Ryan Woodhouse - K&L Domestic Wine Buyer)

One of the best value Pinot Noirs I've tasted in years, and I've tasted thousands of contenders. As soon as I tasted this wine, I brought in a good number of cases to do an email blast. However, many customers and staff alike found the wine, tasted just how good it is for the money, and wiped us out before we even managed to launch the email promotion! So, I went back to the winery, and they sent us the last couple pallets they had down from Oregon. Sokol Blosser is one of the core founding family wineries in the Willamette Valley. They have wonderful estate vineyards at the base of the revered Dundee Hills that I was lucky enough to visit a few years ago. The Evolution line of wines from them are designed to be great value, everyday drinkers, and I must say they've absolutely nailed it with this one. It's real, legit Pinot Noir, and it's under $15. Since discovering it a few months back, it's been one of my go-to wines even against more expensive $20-$25 bottles. Juicy, dark red berries, baking spice, forest floor notes, sandal wood, bergamot, subtle earth. Very silky, lush mouthfeel without seeming heavy, thanks to fresh acidity and lift. A totally complete and balanced bottle of Pinot for a remarkable price. Last shot at this highly rated vintage.
Top Value!
