BV's Tapestry Reserve is one of the best deals in modern day Napa. Sourced from exceptional vineyards throughout Rutherford and beyond, this wine brings you BV's pedigree and excellence for a super competitive $50 price point...when you take another $10 per bottle off that, with our best-in-market price, this is an absolute steal. A true Bordeaux style blend, driven by Rutherford Bench grown Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by smaller lots of Merlot, Cab Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot from Stags Leap, Coombsville, Atlas Peak and St. Helena. As the winery writes "The 2016 Tapestry is a powerful expression of the dream vintage." This has a bit of everything; deep dusty red to black fruit, plum, cassis, redcurrant. Brooding loamy earth tones, dry tobacco, cigar box, and leather. Full bodied and richly fruited, but not jammy or confected, very classic in style, paying homage to its Bordeaux roots with the perfect Napa Valley amplification of the fruit profile. This wine really shows the benefits of artfully blending Cabernet Sauvignon with it's traditional companions, the wine is beautifully layered, balanced and complete. Wines like this from the exceptional 2016 vintage are just hitting their stride with 5 years of age already under their belt, and will continue to provide prime drinking for another 10-15 years, likely more. This is a wonderfully crafted Napa Valley Cab blend that beautifully illustrates the quality of the vintage and expertise of the winemaking team for a surprisingly modest price point.
