Aurore Dezat has always been one of my favorite producers that we bring into the store, and while I don't drink Les Chasseignes often, it never ceases to amaze me in its stunning quality. Whether it's the nice flinty minerality, the zippy citrusy acidity, or the fact that part of it is aged in barrel—this is what Sancerre is meant to taste like, and Les Chasseignes is a worthy flagship for Aurore Dezat. Seriously worth every penny.

I mean, WOW! This is everything you could want in a top-tier Sancerre. Loads of honeyed fruit, lemon verbena, white flowers, a creamy texture but lifted and cleansing acidity, and a long lingering finish. Gorgeous drinking now and worthy of cellaring a few (or more) to drink over the next 5-10 years.

Wet stone and nectarine nose with cantaloupe and stone fruits. Nicely viscous on the palate with nectarine, melon and lime skin flavors. Very nice acidity and minerality on the finish. Like the other Aurore Dezat Sancerre's, a real pleasure to drink.

This has soft white peach and ripe yellow stone fruit flavors in a smooth, rich and broad style. The wine is textural and deep with a wonderfully mellow finish of wet mineral.
