The Van der Kamp vineyard is one of the most revered sites for Pinot Noir on Sonoma Mountain and this wine is proof why that's true. This is one of California's oldest Pinot Noir vineyards, with current plantings from 1952. It's farmed organically with an emphasis on the health of the land. If you love Pinot Noir for its ethereal nose filled with flowers, a bowl filled with berries, with sage and bay leaf in the background, you're gonna love this wine. There's a mesmerizing bouquet in the glass. The wine is magenta in hue with a translucent body. The fruit has evolved nicely hinting at a touch of umami. If you wish to drink a Pinot Noir that feels like you just pulled it out of your cellar, this wine is for you. A miniscule 125 cases produced. Yes, we bought most of them!
