The new bottling from Maison Ferrand celebrates the 10 generations of artisans and viticulturalists who have devoted their lives to the great brandy of the Charentes. Inspired by Mademoiselle Henriette, who was one of the few surviving members of the Ferrand family when Alexander Gabrielle (owner of Maison Ferrand) met her in 2014. The Ferrand's are renowned for making cognac around the town of Segonzac and Mademoiselle Henriette was the aged owner of one of the family's venerable estates. Maison Ferrand, with her blessing, purchased the estate after her passing and is in the process of restoring it to its former glory. This cognac made from 100% Ugni Blanc it was slowly distilled on its fine lees. A blend of 100% grand champagne eau-de-voe, 20% of its components were aged in ex-Sauternes. Opulent but retaining great freshness, it's a lively and welcome addition to the always interesting Ferrand line up.
