The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Latro is in the same ballpark yet has more savory characteristics as well as plenty of conifer, California bay leaf, currants, and loamy soil aromas and flavors. This full-bodied beauty has plenty of tannin, terrific purity of fruit, no hard edges, and a great finish. Give it a few years. 95+

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
One-hundred percent Cabernet Sauvignon, the deep garnet-purple colored 2016 Latro Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon gives up notions of crushed red and black currants, warm plums and baked cherries with touches of garrigue, dusty soil and bay leaves. The palate is medium to full-bodied, firm and grainy with lovely freshness and great intensity in the mouth, leading to a long, purely fruited finish. (LPB)

Vinous
The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Latro, from vineyards in Knights Valley, is bright, precise and nuanced. This is an especially fruity, supple style for Knights Valley. Black cherry and plum fruit are nicely pushed forward in this soft, open-knit wine. (AG)

From several sites in the appellation, this 100% varietal wine is impressively taut and angular in style, with an herbaceous intensity. Made in a full-bodied lushness, it has generous toasted oak and a mix of concentrated red and black cherry. (VB)

K&L Notes
Gianna Kelly, a Sonoma County native, got her degree in chemistry while finding her love for wine. She landed a job at Stag's Leap Wine Cellars where she could hone her skills for Cabernet Sauvignon. Her reputation spread which resulted in her rising to new heights as assistant winemaker at both Cardinale and Lokoya; two of Napa Valley's most incredible Cabernet Sauvignon based wineries. Now, as head wine maker at Galerie, she can explore several important sub appellations of Napa. The "Latro" bottling is sourced from Knights Valley. This is a cooler climate, located at the base of Mount St. Helena northwest of Napa Valley.
