93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

Outer quote mark Pale to medium ruby-purple colored, the 2015 Pinot Noir John Sebastiano Vineyard has a sap and herb-laced nose with an underlying core of red currants and rhubarb plus a waft of damp earth. The medium-bodied palate delivers wonderful intensity with a chewy backbone and plenty of freshness on the finish. (LPB) Inner quote mark (9/2017)

93 points Wine Enthusiast

Outer quote mark There's a slightly gamy, pleasantly rustic touch to the nose of this hearty bottling, with a broad and deep boysenberry base spiced up by dark cola, nutmeg and wet gravel aromas. The mouthfeel is very full and the tannic structure is tight, propping up flavors of dark mulberry, tree bark and more roasted game. (MK) Inner quote mark (11/2017)

92 points Vinous

Outer quote mark Vivid ruby. Spice- and mineral-accented red berries and cherry on the nose, with potpourri and cola accents adding complexity. Juicy and precise in the mouth, shows nervy lift and tension to its raspberry liqueur and floral pastille flavors. Becomes sweeter and deeper with air and finishes sappy and very long, with harmonious tannins and lingering spice and floral notes. (JR) Inner quote mark (11/2017)

This is a deep and intense bottling that maintains acid balance and freshness throughout. Black raspberries, cola, notions of warm rocks and baked rhubarb fill the intense and plush middle. The richness and depth are tempered by the smooth and silky finish. Beautiful and drinkable.

A bold, powerful, spicy Pinot from this very highly regard hillside block in the Sta. Rita Hills. The higher elevation and exposed western slopes of this vineyard means if is buffeted by the almost constant sea breezes producing fruit of wonderful concentration and depth of flavor. Siduri's rendition is packed with spicy red berry fruits, macerated raspberry, clove, nutmeg, split oak, dry hay and a nice framing of exotic oak. Powerful and dense, but also has lovely energy and vibrancy to the mid palate. Finishes with fine powdery tannins and some nice mineral inflections. Really nicely done, great balance and integration throughout. And what a price!!!
