Broad and sturdy, boasting cherry, raspberry, earth and spice flavors. Vivid acidity and tannins provide structure, allowing the finish to persist, with fruit, spice and earth notes. Remains fresh and lively throughout. Best from 2019 through 2032. (BS)

Allen Meadows - Burghound
A highly complex if quite restrained nose grudgingly exhibits notes of red currant, spice, smoke, earth and the sauvage. There is excellent power and plenty of punch to the broad-shouldered and reasonably concentrated flavors that possess good power before culminating in a balanced and attractively persistent finish. This classically styled Corton is certainly firmly structured but I don't find the overall depth and length to be materially more interesting than the Fournières though it's entirely likely that this will outlive its 1er counterpart.

Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2014 tasting, Tollot-Beaut's 2014 Corton Grand Cru has a clean, pure bouquet with red cherries and cranberry scents that seem to billow with time. The palate is medium-bodied with a sensual opening, plenty of supple red cherry and strawberry fruit with a touch of spice toward the finish. This is a delicious red Corton that should drink well for 12 to 15 years. Tasted September 2017. (NM)

Rich and spicy nose with very polished tannins on the palate. For a grand cru this is *Very Good Value*. Lift and freshness. Depth and spice too. Well done! 17/20 points. Drink 2019-2026. (JR)

Vinous
Medium red. Considerably more complex and perfumed on the nose than the Grèves, offering scents of red cherry, red licorice, rose petal and earth. The wine's penetrating red fruit and soil flavors show good freshness and cut, with hints of menthol and mint emerging on the back end. There's still a touch of tannic dryness here but the wine has the easily digestible saline quality of the year. Nathalie Tollot-Beaut suggests giving this wine five years in the cellar. (ST)
