2018 Husch Anderson Valley Pinot Noir

SKU #1495583 92 points Wine Enthusiast

Outer quote mark A good, firm mouthfeel and focused, fresh black-fruit flavors help this medium- to full-bodied wine stand out from the pack. Modestly priced for an estate-bottled wine, it has lip-smacking black-cherry and black-tea notes that are lifted by light tannins and good acidity. *Editors' Choice* (JG) Inner quote mark (12/2020)

Wine Spectator

Outer quote mark Zesty cherry and wild berry flavors are backed by bright acidity, with savory notes on the finish that show flinty accents. (KM) Inner quote mark (12/2020)

K&L Notes

Back in 1971, when the Husch family planted the first Pinot Noir in Anderson Valley, it was seen as a risky proposition in this remote Mendocino County region. Today, Anderson Valley wines command some of the higher prices in West Coast Pinot Noir. Luckily for us and our customers, Husch (owned by the Oswald family since 1979) uses their long experience in the valley to offer a fair deal in wine. Robert Parker writes: "I am rarely disappointed by an offering from Husch as they consistently turn out remarkably tasty, fairly-priced, unpretentious wines."
