The pick of La Chablisienne's extensive array of premiers crus in 2018, this is an example of the co-operative at its best. Stylishly wooded, with an 80% stainless steel component adding considerable verve and zip, this is a bright, modern, beautifully sculpted white that has flavours of citrus, crème fraîche and nutmeg. Long and refreshing, it should age well too. *Top Buys* (TA) (7/2019)
Here the wood treatment is a bit more subtle as it easily allows the white peach, pear and quinine scents to shine. The medium weight flavors possess a lovely mid-palate texture thanks to the abundant dry extract that contrasts markedly with the relatively powerful though curiously rustic finale that is nicely dry if slightly warm. *Outstanding* (10/2019)
93pts Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy: "Pale colour with a green tinge. Not too ripe, but extra concentration of greener fruit on the nose. The build up of intensity here on the palate is impressive with good acidity behind. All in barrel. Excellent mineral grip to finish. Tasted: July 2020."
