Tahbilk's Shiraz is a delicious wine at a very affordable price point. It expresses bold, dark fruit without being overly ripe or high in alcohol. It has underlying savory notes and would pair wonderfully with barbecued meats or pizza. I was able to enjoy this over three nights and it held up great!

Tahbilk’s Shiraz is pretty distinctive when compared with the majority of Shiraz coming out of Australia these days. It’s not the cloying, sweet, and over extracted fruit bombs that you’ll find on most grocery store shelves. The Tahbilk aims a little closer to medium bodied, and at only 13.5 abv, represents a much more balanced, and food-friendly version of Shiraz than what most are accustomed to. On the palate, it has that characteristic Eucalyptus note, with smokey and savory undertones. The palate here is full of blueberry and black plum. Extraordinarily refined for its price point, this a benchmark Australian Shiraz that’s sure to impress.
