Winemaker's Notes; "The 2019 takes its charms from the slightly richer vintage, and a relatively small crop. A touch of botrytis in 2019 also lends additional texture and presents a deceptively honeyed and pear-like expression of the variety. A suggestion of mandarin blossom and a resurgent, dry, almost electric finish recalls wet stone, and the quartz and limestone soils that help make this ungrafted Late Disco Era site next-level delicious. After harvest in the middle of the night, we let the fruit sit overnight and pressed the next day at lunchtime. As usual, fermentation was native in stainless steel, and elevage was in a mix of mostly stainless steel barrels and an old puncheon."
