Touches of menthol and wood surround the almost as spicy aromas of green apple and lemon rind. There is at once good mid-palate fat and good energy suffusing the delicious and well-delineated middle weight flavors that conclude in a clean, dry and delicious finale. This isn't elegant; indeed it flirts with rusticity, but I like the depth and sneaky good length. This too is worth considering. *Burghound Outstanding!* (6/2020)
The 2018 Bourgogne Blanc Méchalots has a light, airy bouquet of honeysuckle and lime flower aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with a fine bead of acidity; citrus peel and orange zest develop toward the elegant finish. Enjoy this over the next five years. (NM) (1/2020)
