An 80-20 blend of Grenache and Syrah, the 2019 Cotes du Rhone is a medium-bodied, very drinkable and red-fruited offering. Herb-inflected raspberries and strawberries, silky tannins and a gently astringent finish add up to a solid effort for near-term drinking. (JC) (11/2020)
The Verquière estate has been passed down from father to son for many generations and is now managed by Thibaut Chamfort. Following age-old traditions and sustainable practices, the estate was recently certified organic. The Côtes-du-Rhône is a blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah, grown on chalky clay soils with loads of large pebbles in the vineyards. This has become one of our favorite everyday reds out of the South of France and we're confident you will feel the same.
