About as classic as it gets, the 2015 Côtes du Rhône Cuvée Paul (70% Grenache, 20% Carignan, 10% Cinsault) offers tons of licorice, currants, fennel, and saddle leather, and is just loaded with southern France street market-like spices and meatiness. Nicely concentrated, rich, and layered, with a medium-bodied, focused, old-school style, drink it over the coming 4-5 years. (2/2018)
