The 2017 Etna Rosso Arcurìa shows rich textural fiber and a compact core of red and purple fruits. Those fruit-driven elements are enhanced by flint, crushed stone, spice, tar and powdered licorice. I notice that Alberto Graci's wines from the not-always-easy 2017 vintage show better balance and tannic harmony that most. The wine is ready to drink straight out of the gate, but it could also be put aside for more aging. (ML) (10/2019)
Lots of dried cherries, red plums, walnuts and lightly roasted chestnuts on this one. Refined and elegant on the medium-bodied palate, but with underlying density and complexity. (8/2019)
Just mid crimson. Animating, complex red-fruit nose with a spurt of spice. Gorgeous, generous, deep, complex red-fruit palate with bags of spicy tannins. Great balance and length while the firm tannins demand more time. (WS) 17.5/20 points (4/2018)
