The 2018 Chardonnay (Santa Barbara County) is a gorgeous appellation-level wine. Light tropical notes, lemon confit, white flowers, tangerine and mint are all pushed forward. Oily and nicely textured in the glass, the Santa Barbara Chardonnay has a lot to offer. It is also a fabulous value. (AG) (9/2019)
Moving to the Chardonnay releases, the 2018 Chardonnay Santa Barbara County is the appellation blend, coming from multiple sites in Santa Barbara County. It was barrel fermented and aged in 28% new French and Hungarian oak. Spiced apple, ripe tropical fruits, and some exotic floral notes all emerge from this rounded, supple, nicely textured Chardonnay that shines for its fruit-forward, mouthfilling style. (10/2019)
