Allen Meadows - Burghound
Moderate wood influence surrounds the overtly spiced and ripe plum, dark currant and violet scents. The attractively textured, rich and sappy medium weight flavors possess very good depth on the lengthy finish where a touch of wood appears. This is quite good for its level and is a wine that should drink well on the younger side if that's your preference.

Vinous
The 2018 Vosne-Romanée Village was the only cru that had been racked when I visited in mid-November. The bouquet is well defined with vivid red berry fruit (red currant and cranberry) flanked by rose petals. The palate is medium-bodied with chalky tannins, quite strict and linear, with a saline tang toward the finish. It feels tight at the moment but it will surely spread its wings once in bottle. (NM)

Decanter
This is bright and unfussy, majoring on redcurrant and cherry fruits with precise, teased-out tannins alongside touches of tobacco and smoke to add complexity. From three different plots of village and declassified 1er cru, no fining, low SO2, 20% whole bunch (from the village plots only). Around 20% new oak. (JA)

K&L Notes
89-91 points Jasper Morris for Inside Burgundy: "This is a mix of grapes from the lieu-dit Vigneux, plus anything deemed suitable to declassify from the crus. 20% new wood, no whole bunch. It had just been racked, ready for bottling on 17th December. Attractive deep red purple, showing a sunny disposition., with fresh fruit and good length." (10/2019)
