Look for an enticing vanilla scent with a hint of almond extract. The palate opens with vanilla and oak, then dries to dark toffee and espresso, finishing with clove and cardamom. This small-batch whiskey was made from corn, barley, wheat and rye. (KN)

Same mashbill as the Laws Four Grain, aged 4 years. Hard, dry corn aromas; no sulfur. Hot, straightforward corn and oak, with active spices. One of the leanest, most austere young bourbons I’ve ever tasted; no compromises, no lush sweetness: savory bourbon. The finish is great: tingling and tasty for a long time after the swallow. Not a bonded for cocktails; sip this. (LB, Summer 2016)
K&L Notes
A.D. Laws is a grain to glass distillery in Denver that ultilizes heirloom grains from family owned Colorado farms. The Four Grain Bourbon Bottled-In-Bond from Laws is aged 6 years in new 53 gallon charred oak and sports a mashbill of 60% corn, 20% wheat, and 10/10 Rye and Malt. The result is a soft and creamy whisky that doesn't lack for a little spice and backbone. It's a marked step up from the regular bottling which is between 3 and 4 years and bottled at a lower proof.
