2014 Dolin "Rincon Vineyard" Arroyo Grande Valley Pinot Noir (Previously $45)

SKU #1457513 92 points Wine Enthusiast

Dried red cherries, earthy tones and leathery aromas show on the nose of this bottling by Malibu-based Elliott Dolin. The palate is showing a bit of age in a pleasant way, with more dried red fruits, gamy earth and a polished stucture. (MK) (7/2019)

A delicious bottle of Pinot from one of my favorite vineyard sites in California, Rincon. Rincon Vineyard is owned by Talley, one of the top estates on the Central Coast. The vines here are now more than 30 years old and give great depth and character to the resulting wines. This is drinking beautifully with a few years maturing in bottle; lots of deep red fruit, cherry, baking spice, leather, warm earth, sandalwood. It's quite full bodied and lush with nicely resolved, silky soft tannins. We got this for an absolute steal, more than 50% off the winery release price! Perfect for drinking now or for the next 2-3+ years. I'll be drinking this with my next roast Chicken dinner.
Top Value!
