Dry, tart and tasty, this fruit is from a Casteel family vineyard. The dense, detailed palate mixes citrus flesh and rind, grapefruit and stone, and trailing suggestions of tangerine and even pineapple. It's a lovely bottle, delicious now but certainly ageworthy, as are almost all of Brooks' acid-driven Rieslings. (PG) (10/2019)
A new bottling from a relatively new vineyard project shepherded by Mimi Casteel, this is youthful and a bit grabby in its lemon-lime scents and bitter almond-oil note; dry and electric, it needs some cellar time before uncorking. (75 cases) (8/2019)
