2016 Lafont-Fourcat, Bordeaux Rouge
SKU #1439179
Jeb Dunnuck
Made with help of Jean-Luc Thunevin, the 2016 Château Lafont Fourcat is a larger production cuvée from vines near Castillon. It's a total winner and offers lots of black and blue fruits, plenty of leafy herbs, and hints of tobacco, medium body, supple tannins, and terrific balance. It's another sleeper readers should snatch up and drink over the coming 4-5 years.

Bold and crisp with a slew of cherries, this is generous, basic red Bordeaux with a slightly sappy finish. Drink or hold.

Vinous
The 2016 Lafont-Fourcat is a forward, supple Bordeaux Supérieur to drink now and over the next handful of years. Hints of leather, smoke and tobacco add shades of nuance to this mid-weight, pleasantly hearty red. (AG)

Laden with black-currant flavors, this wine is fresh. It has soft tannins with great fruitiness and bright acidity. (RV)
