2015 Grey Wolf "Predator" Paso Robles Red Blend

SKU #1434703 90 points Jeb Dunnuck

The Syrah dominated 2015 Predator (there's 75% Syrah, 15% Petite Sirah, and 10% Monastrell) gives up lots of black and blue fruits, hints of white chocolate, and sappy flowers in a ripe, opulent, sexy, concentrated style. It has chewy tannin, plenty of density and should drink nicely for 7-8 years. (8/2017)

Wine Enthusiast

Dried blueberries and plums, leather, tobacco, tar and baked goods show on the nose of this bottling, which is enhanced by 15% Petite Sirah and 10% Monastrell. The palate also shows a somewhat dried character of blueberry and Concord grape, with a touch of tar, framed by decent structure and fine acidity. (MK) (2/2018)

K&L Notes

Joe and Shirlene Barton started Grey Wolf Cellars in 1994, and their son, Joseph, is the winemaker. Joseph aims to enhance the natural flavors of the fruit, barrel aging in French and American oak.
