Wine & Spirits
A blend of mostly cabernet and merlot, this wine has a sleek evergreen line of savor to complement dark fruit notes of cherries and plums. It’s ripe and sleek, gentle and supple, an elegant red for grilled lamb.

James Suckling
A very ripe style of California red with some savory character, abundant chewy tannins and perceptible alcohol. The finish is slightly drying. Drink now.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2015 Proprietary Red is a blend of 53% Merlot with smaller portions of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc. Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, it is scented of warm plums, black cherry preserves and spice box with wafts of garrigue and black pepper. Medium-bodied with great expression and vivacity at this price point, it has a chewy texture and pleasant earthiness coming through on the finish. (LPB)

Wine Enthusiast
In this full-bodied wine, vanilla and mint aromas precede black-cherry and cranberry flavors that are deep and concentrated. Attractive oak accents integrate well with the fruit flavors, while light tannins add some welcome texture. (JG)

K&L Notes
Winery notes: Apriori is the fruit of a collaboration between Patrice Breton & George Sabonfui, two very passionate, focused and driven vintners. Winemaker, Shawn Johnson's talent is well known in Napa Valley, where he is recognized as a rising star. He worked under the tutelage of Mark Herold at Merus and Kobalt. Legendary winemaker Philippe Melka joined the production team as a consultant in fall 2015. This is a red blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Petite Syrah, and Petit Verdot. The fruit is sourced from Napa Valley (69%), Mendocino (22%), and Sierra Foothills (9%).
