2016 Domaine Hubert Lamy Bourgogne Blanc "Les Chataigners"

SKU #1428382 Allen Meadows - Burghound

An intense and ultra-fresh nose combines notes of grapefruit with those of Granny Smith apples. The racy and equally intense flavors seem extracted from pure citrus fruit while exhibiting good minerality on the chiseled and bone dry finale. *Outstanding, Top Value* (6/2018)

The Chataigners is a nice introduction to Lamy’s, pure, precise style. Notes of citrus zest and crème pâtissière precede a glossy, medium-full wine with good concentration for its level and a chalky, taut finish. (WK) (10/2017)

Jancis Robinson

Rather pretty and complex on the nose. Still unfurling, with a high acidity level and quite a bit to chew on but definitely more ambitious than many a Bourgogne Blanc. 16++/20 points. Drink through 2026. (JR) (1/2019)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

The 2016 Bourgogne les Chataigners, which includes some declassified premier crus fruit this year because of frost damage, has a light lime and green apple-scented bouquet. The palate is fresh and taut on the entry with a tang of bitter lemon and orange cordial, moderate depth and decent length. (NM) (12/2017)
