2015 Jaume Giró i Giró Brut Nature Elaboraciá Artesana Reserva

SKU #1414641

From the winery: "The Cava Jaume Giro enterprise was started in the middle of the 19th century by our farming ancestors. In 1926, Ramón Giró i Mata founded a company that specialised in distilling spirits and winemaking and which, fifty years later, produced their first cava, the embodiment of the artisan philosophy that the Giro family has always maintained: high quality, limited production and selection of grapes from vintages regarded as excellent, with which it is possible to age a wine or cava and enhance the complexity of aromatic characteristics of the base wine. Thanks to this philosophy, further enhanced by the latest tecnologies, Cava Jaume Giro offers quality wines and cavas that reflect a creative genius that still endures today."

A wonderfully round wine that is exactly what people are looking for when they search for the next great party wine in their lives. Rich enough to go with food, light enough to be enjoyed on it's own and noncommittal enough stylistically to please most palates, this should be your spring sparkler in any sane world. Light brioche notes with apple core and pleasant minerality, all played out a soft, long finish.

Think Cava can't go toe-to-toe with Champagne in terms of complexity and overall harmony? This thrilling wine has something to say about that. Beautiful notes of Fuji apple, brioche, macadamia, lemon zest, wet stone, and a hint of baking spices entice on the nose. Add to that a creamy texture and a racy, bone-dry minerally finish, and you've got a Cava that can stand with Champagne at twice the price...all the while still retaining its distinctive "Cava-ness". Truly delicious and wonderfully versatile. At this price, it's a top candidate for your house bubbly.
