Whistle Pig 10 Year Old "K&L Swine Merchants" 117.3 Proof Barrel #2447 Single Barrel Cask Strength Indiana Straight Rye Whiskey (750ml)

SKU #1407578

Yes, this one is MGP. Distilled 3/21/2005, bottled winter 2018. A remnant of the Golden Era of whiskey, Whistle Pig Single Barrels have long been some of our most popular offerings. That's because they offer value beyond almost any other product on the market, Cask Strength Single Barrels from great distilleries for less than $100. Plus these are all much older than their 10 year age statement. This one is well over 13 years old and is the first of the WP stocks to be bottled in their single barrel program distilled at the excellent distillery in Lawrenceberg, Indiana. Once maligned as a "factory" distillery behind a number of craft brands, the cognoscenti always knew that MGP was churning out high quality hooch. Back in the day it was cheap and plentiful, but now it's almost considered a rarity to find it in single barrel form. Not that it's more delicious than the excellent stocks coming out of Alberta, but we're very happy to have this special whisky and its sister casks added to our repertoire however briefly they might last. With these excellent single casks, we celebrate the great man who helped create this special brand and who continues to live on in our hearts and our glasses. Thank you Dave for all the great whiskey. Only 132 in this cask.
