Lively and complex, this carries aromas of
honey, cedar, Mandarin orange, cooked pineapple
and brown sugar. The plush, slightly viscous palate
echoes those flavors, layering on bright flickers
of cedar and lemon peel, plus a hint of funk reminiscent
of agricole rhum. It finishes with a warming
clove tingle on the tip of the tongue. Made with
100% pot still Jamaican rum, aged first in Jamaica
and then in ex-Cognac casks at the Ferrand estate.

This stunning 100% pot still Jamaican rum is a blend of Clarendon and Long Pond distillates. The molasses is fermented between 1 and 3 weeks and distilled on the Vendome still at Clarendon and the John Dore still at Long Pond. Aged for 1-3 years in ex-bourbon casks, the rum is then brought to France for further continental aging in ex-Cognac casks. The rum receives no dosage and shows off the bright and funky flavors of Jamaican pot rum beautifully. Super complex and smooth, this rum is a wonderful achievement and should be a staple in any's collection. 93 points Beverage Testing Institute: "Gold color. Aromas of hot copper pot, dried tropical fruit, whole allspice, and burnt toffee with a satiny, crisp, dry-yet-fruity light body and a medium-long plantain, dried pineapple, and brown butter finish.
