I don't have descriptors to add that haven't already been covered here, but this is a fully-integrated and highly successful wine that has only improved with a little extra time in bottle. The sheer power and concentration is something to behold even at regular pricing. But the bright energy driving the long finish keeps this Chardonnay versatile with food and refreshing enough to be a summer sip from a deceptively full-bodied white.

The best value we have in Domestic Chardonnay, period. Calera has incredible pedigree in winemaking and vineyard sources. Take this bottle for example; it is comprised of fruit from Bien Nacido, Talley Rincon, Sierra Madre and many more top notch vineyards throughout the central coast. These vineyards are highly sought after and typically reserved for high-end, $40-$50 single vineyard bottlings! The wine has power and richness but also bright, mineral accented acidity and beautiful length on the palate. Flavors of baked orchard fruit, peach cobbler, toasted bread, barley flour and hazelnut. Broad, rich and flavorful but underpinned by brisk, saline, coastal climate acidity. This drinks WAY beyond our national low price point and is definitely one to stock up on if you enjoy a great bottle of Chardonnay at an everyday price point.

Incredible for the dollar, this is a round but not too rich chardonnay that just gets a hint of that classic California weight. Golden apple and crisp white minerality is wrapped up nicely by the touch of new oak that is keyed into on the finish. Again, an incredible value that is ridiculously good for the price.
