This is so good! I want to drink it now. Iodine, mushrooms, dark fruit and orange peel on the nose and palate. Full-bodied, yet polished and fresh. Lovely tension. A blend of 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Malbec.

This has a good juicy core of red currant and damson plum fruit flecked with mouthwatering savory and tobacco notes through the finish. (JM)

Nicolas Thienpont. Rich nose and real active freshness. Lots to like. So compact and well balanced. Maybe not the concentration and tannin for a very long life but excellent in the short term. *Very Good Value* (JR)

Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Puygueraud comes bursting out of the glass with notions of red and black currants, blackberries and dried Provence herbs with a hint of charcoal. Medium to full-bodied, firm and chewy, it has a good core of fruit and a savory finish. (LPB)
