The 2015 Estate Proprietary Red is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Cabernet Franc, and, as consultant Philippe Melka was telling me, the smallest berries he has seen in his 25 years of working in Napa Valley, with few seeds, so there was a high proportion of skin to juice. An incredibly opaque purple color, gorgeous notes of licorice, blueberry, blackberries, along with a hint of espresso roast, chocolate and spice box are all present in this supple, opulent and voluptuously textured, luscious wine. It should drink well when released and continue to age for at least 20 or more years. (RP)

Vinous
The 2015 Estate Red Wine is another plush, deep wine from Chateau Boswell. Plush and voluptuous, with silky tannins and terrific balance, the Estate Red Wine captures all of the natural exuberance that makes the best 2015s so alluring. Like all of these wines, the Estate Red Wine is done in a forward, super-ripe style that will require minimal cellaring. (AG)

K&L Notes
97+ points, Lisa Perrotti Brown in Wine Advocate: "Composed of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Cabernet Franc, the 2015 Estate Proprietary Red has a deep garnet-purple color and offers up a ripe, expressive nose of blackberry pie, blueberry compote and preserved plums with touches of dried herbs, aged beef and chargrill plus a waft of iron ore. Full-bodied, richly fruited and jam packed with black fruit and savory layers, it has a lovely finely grained texture and plenty of freshness and finishes with some lingering spice notes coming through."
